First World War Memorial Worle
I have an interest re E H G Phillips, but my query concerns "Smith H G R.N.". I have been able to trace a Harold George Smith who died on 8.8.1915 on HMS India which was sunk off Norway on that date, but I have been unable to establish that he had any contact with Worle and would appreciate any help. I have been able to identify all the others on the memorial.

First World War Memorial Worle
If you look at the web site of the Worle History Society you will see that there is a link to Frank Gosden who has also researched the names on that Memorial. Frank is also a member of this society and tells me that he hasn't been able to positively identify "Smith H G" either! But please contact him because you might be able to help each other.
