Does anyone have any thoughts on where the picture below was taken or what the occasion was. I understand that the picture includes a Richard & Winifred May who were deceased 1957. They lived in Stafford Road, WsM and Richard worked at Locking Camp.

Looking at the clothes being worn - could it be late '40s early '50s?

Yes Pat, it has been suggested that it was taken just after the end of WW2 possibly something associated with a church activity. The trouble is there is nothing in the picture to connected it with a local land mark.

I have a very similar photo of folk from Portishead. Taken on Temple Meads railway station platform while they were on a church outing I think. I have tried to upload it, but I get an error message. I am not sure Graham's is the same place as mine, but the format of the photo is very similar.

I've passed it on to a family member who could possibly be in it if it is late 1940s/ early 1950s. Will let you know if they remember anything.
