This is a picture of some children from the potteries area of Weston  taken about 1946 on a visit to Bristol Zoo. Are you one of them ??

Hi Bill. Thanks for posting this. Is it possible for you to email me a copy of the photograph, please? I would like to share it with some of the older members of my family.

What exactly do you mean by the "potteries area of Weston"? And how do you know that's where the children came from?

Hi Dave. Thank you for your reply. The "potteries" area was close to The Royal Potteries of Weston which made bricks, tiles and pots ect. the area included Bridge road and Langford road. I believe the children in the picture were from the Memorial Hall Sunday School in Langford Road.

I will email a copy of the picture.

Thanks, Bill. We have exchanged several emails now. Attached to one is a document I have prepared summarising the residents of Langford Road at the time of the 1939 Register. My grandfather and his family lived at 77 and one of his brothers and his family lived at 79. Both worked at the Potteries, as did another brother. If any other member would like a copy I am happy to share it.
