My family history research has come to a grinding halt at John James and his wife Elizabeth of Kingston Seymour. They are listed in the parish records as the parents of Thomas James on the 10th of May 1737. If anyone is able to locate where he came from, where they were married and Elizabeths maiden name, I would love to move my research forward.
Have you tried the Kingston Seymour History Group ? Although not primarily a Family History Group some one may know something about the JAMES family.
It looks as if Elizabeth died shortly after Thomas was born - do you know what happened to the children? Did John marry again?
Haven't located a marriage for them yet but it is possible that John & Elizabeth might have married in Bristol - many people from North Somerset were married there.
