Submitted by gricharduk on Mon, 21/02/2022 - 6:47 Building work commenced at the end of 1881 (see "Plan of Holland Street drainage, Ashcombe. 1881" at the Somerset Heritage Centre). The earliest mention of a resident in the newspapers (that I can find) is a Mrs Trebble at 1 Holland Street in 1882. The houses were architected by Hans Fowler Price (opens a PDF of "An introduction to his work in Weston-super-Mare" by the Weston Civic Society).    login or join us now to post comments
