The Larway family were 'regulars' at the Taunton Workhouse. They appear to have used the Workhouse at times when babies were born. My Maternal Great grandfather, George Larway, was born a pauper in the workhouse on 6.10.1879. George married Kate Rendell(s), b.circa 1881, in1904/5. Any info greatly appreciated. Chris

Have you seen the well documented family tree on Ancestry for this family? It includes several family photographs including one of George LARWAY and is called the BARRETT Family Tree because it is mainly concerned with one of George's children - Edith May LARWAY who was born in Aril 1911 and who married a Frederick BARRETT. It might be worth contacting the owner of this tree.

At the time of the 1939 Register George LARWAY was living at 160 St John Street, Bridgwater. He was a Widower. His occupation was Roof Tile Maker. Living at the same address were Edith M. BARRETT (born 23 April 1911. Married) and David J. BARRETT (born 30 September 1937.
