I am trying to research for the ancesters of Peter Roynon (1813-1893) of Chew Stoke. He married Mary Ann Bellamy Fowler in Bristol on 31 July 1838. I believe his parents were John and Sarah but I am note sure where they came from. Any information would be appreciated as I do not live in Somerset.

Hello, the Roynon's are practically a dynasty in Chew Stoke! They were major landowners of local manors and land in Tudor times onwards until the family fortune whittled away. There are lots of descendants who have done extensive work on each and every one. I only have info on my branch which unfortunately does not include the names you're looking for, but if you can link into Ancestry.com if you searched the names there is a lady who has so much info on your Peter you could contact her for her sources. Hi Sarah. Thank you for your information. I presume you are referring to Suzanne regarding the information on Ancestry. She is a close relative and I have all of her information but we both have a brick wall with John father of Benjamin (1756-1824). We can't tie John into the Compton Martin Roynons, you also refer to, at the moment. John's wife may or may not be Mary Finner.
