ATWELL
published by DebbieD - 9 years 9 months 25 days ago.

Hello Lynda

There are a lot of ATWELLs in Nailsea and some were miners who ended up in Monmouthshire & Glamorgan.  I haven't yet looked into Congresbury but it could be a link between Nailsea and Weare so thank you for the prompt.

Weston-super-Mare Newspapers

As you suggest, it is possible that an account of the inquest might have been published in a local newspaper. If you contact the Local Studies Section of Weston-super-Mare Library they may be able to help you.  The local newspapers are available there on film -  They are not indexed but as you can give them an actual date of death the search should not be too difficult.

It is also possible that an account might have been published in a newspaper local to where they were living - have you tried looking there?

Hello Dave - Well how interesting and again many thanks.   I have since used FreeReg to great effect and recommended it to two other people just in case it might help them.   All I can say is "Keep up the good work" it is much appreciated.
