Thank you for your suggestion.
We only have until next week until our deadline so I had hoped to find a family member who might know. I will bring it up next week to see if we wish to check out the Axbridge Workhouse possibility despite the lack of the admissions register for that time. It will be late to write it into his personal account.

Lukins
published by - 11 years 1 months 21 days ago. | | | My great grandfather Walter Lukins was born in Clevedon, and lived in Kenn with his grandparents and aunts and uncles. His grandfather William Lukins although living in Kenn, was born in Yatton. Walter Lukins walked to Barnsley in Yorkshire in the 1880s to seek work, and settled in Darfield where he married my great grandmother. He was a coal miner. I would love to hear from anyone who has any info about the Lukins family in Kenn and Yatton. Many thanks
