How do I receive the Journal Digitally? Not by Post?

The 1851 census of Hutton gives Richard's place of birth as South Barrow in about 1803 and I'm not sure whether you have this by now but it looks as if he was the son of the Richard SLADE who married Jenny COLLEY 16th June 1788 at South Barrow, Somerset, by licence.  She was from Castle Cary.  You can find this marriage on FreeREG and it also gives the names of Witnesses.

I moved into Hutton couple of years ago. Mr T Porter lives in the village and plays an active part here and about North Somerset. Just a thought, could he help if you were to speak to him?

Thanks for your interest in my post.

I had already established the correct pairing of that GRO index but could not find the marriage at her home parish so thought I would try looking at his parish.  They obviously married elsewhere and it may well have been at a Register Office.

If the cost of certificates ever comes down, I will purchase one but as it is not the direct line of my family, I am afraid I cannot justify the cost at present.
