Hello Pat,

Thank you for that i will follow that up.

where did Debbie find these on the census?

John father is a JP incourt house Limmerick.!

Eugene MORGAN son of John SHEEHY

Thank you Pat.  That was what I was thinking but I posted what I'd found in a hurry with not enough explanation - sorry for any confusion caused Priscilla.

If stuck with my own tree I tend to start looking sideways and it's amazing what clues you can find sometimes.

If Arthur and Eugene were brothers then they both named sons after each other from the look of it.

Looking at the Arthur MORGAN found by Debbie - who was born in about 1843/6 in Ramsgate- I think he might be a younger brother of your Eugene MORGAN. Try building a family tree including the information Debbie found and it does seem to tie in with the bits you altready have.  Both your Eugene and this Arthur have a father called John born about the same time and likely to be the John Morgan SHEEHY for whom you have the death certificate - it would not be surprising for your grandfather to be named after his Uncle.

Hello Debbie,

Thank you so much for you help, but no that is not the same Arthur Morgan.

I have Arthurs Marriege certificate and he married Croydon in 1910 and his wifes name

is Caroline.on all the census returns he says he was born in Nottinghill. Caroline was born in Croydon.

I cannot find a record of his birth or baptism. Eugene Morgan was his father but they were also known as Eugene Sheehy Morgan.I hav e Eugenes Marriege cert; but cannot find him in the parish records, and he was the one born in Ramsgate.and Eugnes father was a John Sheehy.

Hello Pat,

Thank you for your reply, yes it does look likely that is Eugene that you found in the Reading Mercury.

Now i have got a marriege cert; for Eugene Sheehy and Maria Donovon 27th. April 1867.

I have also the death cert; for John Morgan Sheehy.he died at75 Cross street Ramsgate 1st. March 1869. Informant of death  present at death Eugene Sheehy.

I have been wondering where this Morgan Sheehy has come from, are ready, I found in the Irish History records Church Baptisms Date of Baptism  29th.July 1817 Co. Limmerick RC Father Morgan Sheehy Mother Catherine Toomey.

But still no parish record for Eugene as think this one i found,i don,t think it is the same person.!
