Commentshase/hardidge published by - 6 years 6 months 26 days ago. | | Thanks for your comments. My mother was born in 1905 but all the rest of your notes are as I have it. so I must be related to Mike most likely third cousin ( i get a bit confused about relationships). Can you please tell me the name of Mikes father. It looks like you have a good grip on my side of the family but if there are any gaps i might be able to help you with please let me know

HASE/HARDIDGE published by Pat Hase - 6 years 6 months 26 days ago. | | Good to see your comment. Is this correct? Elsie Sarah Hase HARDIDGE was born in about 1909 in Doncaster, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of John HARDIDGE and Mary BROWN. Her father, John HARDIDGE was born in 1862, the son of John William HARDIDGE and Mary Anne HASE who were married on Christmas Day 1852 in Compton Bishop, Somerset.
Mary Anne HASE was a younger sister of my husband's great grandfather, Henry HASE - which means that you share common ancestors of great great grandparents - William HASE and Rebecca Parfrey MILLARD - making you and Mike (I think) third cousins!

Mary Ann NICHOLLS published by Pat Hase - 6 years 6 months 29 days ago. | | Thanks Dave, It's good to get someone else's opinion - I was going round in circles with this one. No, I don't think they were twins - according to the censuses Joseph NICHOLLS was born in 1834 but was christened with his baby sister in 1836. I'm working on the siblings of direct ancestors to make it easier to connect up with any DNA matches I might have. I've very grateful for your help - Thanks

Mary Ann NICHOLLS published by daveerasmus - 6 years 6 months 29 days ago. | | Hi Pat. I have worked through your analysis and cannot fault your reasoning and conclusion. Like you, I would have liked to have traced William WEAR and Mary after their marriage but I cannot find them either. Interestingly there was a baptism of a Joseph NICHOLLS in 1836 who was a brother (twin?) to Mary. He married an Elizabeth and in 1861 they were living in Wedmore with their children. One of those children was one-month old Mary Ann!
